If you have vagcom, you can diagnose the problem. If you have sound, the problem can be the screen. If you dont have sound, the problem can be Gateway. If you dont give a code your new battery, it work but it is advisable code so that sistem knows that it has a new battety and what battery. The MMI is dead on my Audi a6 c6.
